Work Environment

The role of the Physical Therapist is situated in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Matawan, NJ. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Providing patient education and guidance about treatment options, encouraging compliance and self-management.
• Documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information accurately and promptly in compliance with facility standards.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to communicate findings and recommendations regarding patient care and discharge planning effectively.
• Supervising and mentoring assigned support staff, providing feedback and professional development opportunities.
• Participating in community outreach programs and continuous quality improvement initiatives to promote Renown's services.
• Attending staff meetings and engaging in continuing education to stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients, each with unique needs stemming from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, sports rehabilitation, and chronic conditions. You will be tasked with ensuring that care is delivered with respect to the individual backgrounds and cultural sensitivities, aligning with our organization's values of inclusivity and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Proficiency in computer applications and word processing, necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting is required, candidates with previous experience in a rehabilitation facility or specialized treatments are preferred.
