About The Unit The Pre‑op and PACU at Troy Beaumont are a fast‑paced critical care unit that specializes in the preparation and recovery of patients who are undergoing a surgical procedure. Our department is comprised of 3 pre‑op areas and 3 PACU areas, specializing in both outpatient and inpatient surgeries. Staff who join our units should be teamwork‑oriented and possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and decision‑making skills. Scope of Work The Unit Secretary coordinates the non‑clinical aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit. Performs unit clerical functions. Acts as a receptionist. Acts as an intradepartmental and interdepartmental liaison. Orders and stocks office supplies, coordinates repair of office & unit equipment.
