**Join Our Team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse!** **Job Description:** - **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:00) - **Travel Experience Required:** Yes - **Years of Experience:** 2 years - **Patient Ratio Experience:** - Labor: 1:2 - Antepartum: 1:3 - Mother/Baby: 1:3 - **Charting System:** Epic (Required) **Preferred Experience:** - Charge experience - Teaching hospital - Trauma Level I **Certifications (Preferred):** - ACLS - AWHONN Advanced - AWHONN Beginner - AWHONN Intermediate - BLS - NRP **Key Skills (Preferred):** - IV therapy/Phlebotomy - Labor and Delivery Management - Assist with high-risk deliveries - Assist with C-sections - Sterile vaginal exams **Work Settings:** - Antepartum - Labor & Delivery - Mother/Baby - Facility births per month: 100-200 **Medication Management:** - Anticoagulation therapy - Insulin drips - Magnesium Sulfate therapy - Pitocin (oxytocin) **Neonatal Care:** - APGAR scores - Collect cord samples - Thermoregulation **Antepartum Care:** - Assist with amniocentesis - Non Stress Tests (NST) - Triage of obstetrical patients **Postpartum Care:** - Support breastfeeding - Episiotomy care - Manage postpartum hemorrhage **Pain Management:** - Epidural Anesthesia - IV conscious sedation **Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Care:** - Interpretation of dysrhythmias **Professional Skills:** - Isolation Precautions/PPE - Vaccine Administration - **Scheduling Type:** Self - **Weekend Coverage:** Every Other - **Pre-Approved Time Off:** 1 Request - **Orientation Hours:** 24 - **Patient Age Groups:** Neonates, Adults - **Daily Census:** 14 - **Number of Rooms:** 14 - **Number of Beds:** 15 **Interdisciplinary Support Includes:** - Physical Therapy - Respiratory Services - Social Services - Pharmacy **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
