Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients with complex neurological conditions including acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, and post-craniotomy care
• Manage and monitor specialized equipment including ICP monitors, external ventricular drains (EVDs), continuous EEG, mechanical ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous catheters
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, with up to 1:3 for stable, lower-acuity patients in a 22-bed unit with an average daily census of 21
• Float within the specialty and to lower-acuity units as needed
• Work required holidays as scheduled and fulfill on-call obligations as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
• NIHSS certification
• Experience with targeted temperature management, bedside ultrasound, and continuous EEG monitoring
