This role focuses on troubleshooting and optimizing controls and automation processes, developing and maintaining reliable systems, and contributing to the continuous improvement of factory operations. You will collaborate across teams to design, implement, and sustain innovative automation solutions, leveraging data and emerging technologies to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability within manufacturing environments.Essential Functions:Supports manufacturing in troubleshooting automation and controls issuesDevelop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance proceduresParticipate on internal teams in order to facilitate the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of factory automationInfluence and support the design and implementation of factory automation equipmentDocument/write maintenance SOP's to perform repair and diagnostic functionsFacilitate the definition and execution of design verifications and manufacturing control plansEngineer controls and software solutions for manufacturing work cellsSupport TPM effortsLeverage analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisionsDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:Competent in programming PLC's & HMI's, specifically Allen Bradley, and ideally SiemensFamiliarity with CNC controls, primarily Siemens and FanucPossess the ability to read and understand controls prints. Be able to modify prints using AutoCAD.Exposure to technologies such as RFID, vision systems, laser engravers and robots.Experience with SCADA programming, specifically Ignition, as well as exposure to SQL and PythonExperience leading projectsWillingness to learn and embrace new technologiesPrevious experience with CNC machining a plusPossess the ability to interact in a team environment with other employees and groupsPost-high school education requiredPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred in a related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience in the field or in a related areaUnderstanding of industrial network infrastructures, including Ethernet and DeviceNetThe anticipated pay range for this position is $73,900- $90,500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus of 10%.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
