About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to the University Chief Information Officer. The successful candidate will serve as a thought partner and senior member of the Office of the VP & UCIO, with a focus on advancing and supporting the VP & UCIO's priorities. This role involves maintaining close working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, tracking and ensuring the flow of information, and supporting the execution of daily, mid-term, and long-term activities and projects. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for synthesizing information, identifying issues that require leadership attention, and supporting coordinated action on high-priority initiatives. The position requires a professional with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years' of experience, including a background in executive communications, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have a strong commitment to excellence, the ability to manage multiple assignments, and a proven track record of building trusted relationships and working effectively across organizational boundaries. The role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong project and portfolio coordination abilities, and a proven attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, the ability to influence without direct authority, and a commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards. While not required, experience in a large, decentralized institution or a background in technology-related issues is a plus. The Chief of Staff will be expected to work in a hybrid format, with a minimum of 3 days on-site, and must be prepared for a 24/7 availability during crisis situations.
