Pharmacy Technician Supervisor

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor you will:

• Be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Pharmacy Technicians.
• Oversees all aspects of pharmacy technician duties, including but not limited to recruitment, training, initial and annual competencies, workflow, scheduling, conflict resolution, corrective action, and performance reviews.
• Evaluate, refine, develop, implement, and monitor workflow processes and improvement initiatives.
• Oversee timekeeping and payroll which includes scheduling staff, monitoring overtime, tardiness, and absences.
• Provide staff training and development.
• Responsible, in conjunction with pharmacy leadership for USP 795, 797, and 800 compliances.
• Create and evaluate competency assessments.
• Responsible for conflict resolution and corrective action when appropriate.
• Participate in the recruiting process. Interviews pharmacy technician applicants and works with the pharmacy team to select best candidates.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist pharmacy leadership in designing the future direction of pharmacy services.
• Staff when necessary and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

• Current Maryland Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification.
• 5 years' experience as a hospital pharmacy technician.
• 1-year previous experience in a pharmacy leadership tech role.
• Active working knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, and 340B.
• Knowledge of software: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Previous experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, Carousels, and MacroHelix preferred.
• HS diploma.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week

Typical Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM4:30 PM Sunday through Thursday - off (Friday, Saturday)

Pay Range:

$29.08 - $42.17

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
