Senior Accountant

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant with strong General Ledger experience and a proven ability to independently manage core accounting functions. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who can take ownership of their work, maintain accuracy under deadlines, and require minimal direction. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, lease accounting, intercompany activity, journal entries, cash and banking activity , and other general accounting functions. Key Responsibilities Prepare recurring journal entries, reclasses, and other GL entries . Perform detailed balance sheet and bank reconciliations , researching and resolving discrepancies. Manage fixed asset accounting , including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations. Handle lease accounting and maintain accurate supporting schedules. Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities. Monitor and reconcile cash and banking activity . Assist with AP functions, employee reimbursements, check runs, and ACH payments as needed. Ensure accurate project and department coding . Research, identify, and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances. Support month-end and year-end close activities. Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready accounting records. Take ownership of assigned accounting functions with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications Seasoned Senior Accountant with strong General Ledger experience. Extensive experience performing balance sheet reconciliations . Hands-on experience with fixed assets and lease accounting . Strong experience working within a large ERP system ; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred . Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables . Highly independent and capable of taking ownership of accounting responsibilities with minimal direction. Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and ability to consistently meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Construction accounting experience. Property management or real estate accounting experience. Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience. Experience working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and independent decision-making are essential.
