Director of Sales (Player–Coach Role)

Overview

Seeking a proven closer who can also lead . This is a true player–coach position: approximately 70% closing , 30% leading an acquisition team. You will own the number, drive performance, and elevate the people around you.

No land-sales experience required — if you can sell over the phone and run a sales floor, the industry specifics can be taught.

Must-Haves

• Proven closer with a documented history of hitting and exceeding personal sales targets

• Management experience — coaching, developing, and holding a sales team accountable to daily KPIs

• Outbound sales background in high-volume environments (payment processing, door-to-door, telemarketing, timeshare, auto, solar, etc.)

• Comfortable working marketing-generated leads at scale and converting them efficiently

• Strong phone presence — persuasive, confident, and able to build trust quickly with everyday landowners

• Data-driven operator who reads KPIs and acts on them for both personal and team performance

Role Breakdown

70% Closing (You carry a number)

• 50–70 dials/day

• 10–14 real conversations/day

• 2+ hours of talk time/day

• 40–50 verbal offers/week

• 4–5 signed contracts/week

• Negotiate, follow up, and secure land deals

• Maintain accurate CRM updates (FollowUpBoss)

30% Team Leadership

• Review team KPIs and enforce daily activity standards

• Coach calls, provide feedback, and run sales training

• Motivate the team and support each member in hitting their number

• Report performance metrics and pipeline health to leadership

Compensation:
$150,000 per year
