As Supervisor, Family Engagement EHS CCP, you will be responsible for the oversight of the Head Start Performance Standards related to Family and Community Partnerships. The FES provides support to Family Support Specialists through leadership, training, monitoring, and technical assistance on the programs’ systems and services as outlined in the Head Start Performance Standards. The FES assists and supports the sites with participant enrollment, including recruitment, selection, eligibility, and attendance. The FES is responsible for ensuring that the programs develop, integrate, and implement systems and procedures for the delivery of comprehensive support and advocacy services to children and families. Provides leadership and support to Family Support Specialists for Center-based Directors and Family Child Care Providers in the areas of Family Engagement, Advocacy, Community Partnerships, Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility, and Attendance (ERSEA) as outlined in the Head Start Performance Standards. Develops systems for the management and compliance of Family & Community Partnerships programming and ERSEA services provided at the Early Head Start sites. Reviews each program’s Family Engagement, Parent Involvement, and Community Partnerships files, providing constructive feedback. Promotes coordination and integration of Family Engagement and Community Partnerships. Develops training and other support systems to address identified needs and services. Participates in the evaluation of program services through the Self-Assessment process. Has primary responsibility for the development of the Family & Community Partnerships, ensuring that the plans address the requirements of the Performance Standards. Conducts monthly meetings with Family Engagement Staff. Creates monthly and yearly Forecasts for the Family Engagement Staff. Generates all necessary program service reports. Responsible for maintaining an updated Community Resource directory at each location. Assists in the development and implementation of the required trainings for parents. May sometimes be required to handle decisions involving some risk to the agency but usually in standardized situations. Responsible for PIR reporting for the Family Engagement area utilizing Child Plus Maintains the leadership team abreast of any concerns in the area of Family Engagement Assists and supports FES and Transition Specialist on addressing and resolving concerns from families and site directors. In collaboration with the other team members, is responsible for the interdisciplinary collaboration amongst Family Engagement Staff and other EHS-CCP staff to promote parental success with positive goal-oriented relationships as described in the Head Start Parent, Family, Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework. Monitors and ensures the completion of the Family Partnership Agreement and other required documentation for children and families. Ensures all confidential information is protected. Establishes Family Engagement staff schedules, including approval of time off requests. Responsible for analyzing and approving monthly mileage and expenses. Responsible for the appropriate use of monthly Family Events funds allocated to each center. Promote activities/strategies that engage parents in discussions about their child’s emotional and cognitive growth and development and provide parents with information and opportunities to learn about concrete things they can do to promote their child’s learning. Work with the Family Engagement Specialists to plan intervention strategies. Support the Family Engagement Specialist in the use of the child screening, family assessment, family interest survey, and progress data to inform the development of goals in the Family Partnership Agreement. Ensures data is entered in ChildPlus (or other software being used) and is utilized by Family Engagement staff. Monitors the completion of family volunteer hours at each location. Supports the program director on the logistics for family events organized by United Way. Monitors and ensures completion of FES tasks at both Easter Seals Locations. Responsible for the Hiring Process of the Family Engagement Specialist and Transition Specialist. Develop onboarding plans for new hires (one-year onboarding process) Conduct monthly reflective supervision meetings with the FES and Transition Specialist (Individual and group meetings) Cover for the FES or Transition Specialist when they are away on vacation, or the position is vacant. Work collaboratively with program staff and community resource personnel to support the social/emotional development of vulnerable families. Provide site-based orientation to all Family Engagement staff. Responsible for supporting the Program Director on the implementation of the Policy Council. Responsible for the full implementation of Parent Committee Meetings at each location. Responsible for the full implementation of the Parent Ambassador Program. Responsible for the implementation of a Parent Curriculum at each location. Requirements Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Psychology, Counseling, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred. 15 professional development (in-service) hours per year, including CPR. Experience Requirements At least 2 years of experience working with families in community-based programs serving parents and children, or Family Support Credential and 5 years of experience providing family support services in a Head Start program. Technology Requirements Must have knowledge of modern technology and be able to adapt quickly to new software, browsers, and systems. Other Essential Knowledge/Skills Familiarity with Head Start Program and Standards or ability to develop knowledge base. Able to work as a cooperative and supportive team member; ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public; basic math skills; ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or verbal form.
