About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Legal Officer (CLO) with a strong background in healthcare law to serve as a strategic and trusted legal partner. The CLO will be responsible for providing exemplary legal and business advice, leading corporate governance activities, and ensuring compliance with a wide range of legal and regulatory matters. This executive will also play a key role in the modernization and transformation of the legal function, as well as in the organization's efforts to achieve its healthcare and business objectives. Key responsibilities include serving as the principal legal advisor to the executive team and the Board of Directors, overseeing legal strategy for various business transactions, and managing risk, compliance, and regulatory affairs. The ideal candidate for the CLO position at the company will have at least 10 years of legal experience, with a focus on healthcare law, and a JD from an accredited law school. They must be eligible to practice law in Oregon and Washington or have the ability to obtain the right to practice within a specified timeframe. The CLO should have a proven track record in healthcare regulatory matters, corporate governance, contracting, risk management, and employment law, and experience in leading and managing a legal team. Strategic thinking, business acumen, integrity, and strong leadership skills are essential. The role requires a leader who can model ethical behavior, promote a culture of transparency and collaboration, and integrate legal perspectives into the organization's initiatives and transformation efforts.
