As a Laboratory and Field Technician (Biological Science Assistant) in Corvallis, Oregon you will: Collect fish tissues for fish health examination from fish held at hatcheries on the Willamette River system and lower Columbia River Process samples and conduct microbiological tests at the Corvallis Fish Pathology Laboratory Enter and summarize the data Help sampling wild brood fish in various parts of Oregon Utilize precise technical skills to accurately measure small amounts of tissues and liquids Write reports Communicate information collected from the projects to hatchery and other ODFW personnel The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
