Payroll SpecialistLHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client in the construction industry to identify an experienced Payroll Specialist for a contract opportunity in the North Cincinnati area. This position will support a large, multi-state workforce and will be responsible for certified payroll reporting, payroll accuracy, and compliance.We are looking for someone who can step into a fast-paced payroll environment and brings previous certified payroll and construction industry experience. The contract may have the potential to extend based on business needs and performance.Responsibilities:Prepare and process certified payroll reporting for construction projects while maintaining compliance with applicable wage requirementsSupport payroll activities for a workforce of more than 1,000 employees across multiple statesReview employee hours, job classifications, pay rates, deductions, and adjustments for accuracyMaintain organized payroll records and provide documentation for audits and reporting requestsResearch and assist with resolving payroll discrepancies and employee payroll issuesPartner with payroll, accounting, HR, and operational teams to support accurate and timely payroll processingQualifications:At least 3 years of payroll experience requiredPrevious construction payroll experience requiredExperience supporting payroll for a large employee population, ideally 1,000+ employeesPrior multi-state payroll experienceStrong knowledge of payroll compliance, wage reporting, and related payroll requirementsUnion payroll experience is highly preferredStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and high-volume workloadsEffective communication and problem-solving skills
