Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Schedule

Nights; 36 hours/week; includes weekdays, occasional weekends, and rotating holidays.

Assignment Details

Contract length may vary; guaranteed hours/week: 36.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in telemetry care, dysrhythmia recognition, IV access, and non-invasive airway support preferred.
• Familiarity with IV insulin protocols and experience with paracentesis/kidney biopsy recovery care is helpful.
• Two professional references required; at least one must be a manager or formal supervisor.
• Must have a valid compact or state RN license in hand at the time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a telemetry/PCU step-down unit with a focus on abdominal transplant patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with potential complications related to transplant surgery.
• Perform procedures such as IV access, central line care, and paracentesis as needed.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and interventions.

Compliance / Notes

COVID-19 vaccination is not required; flu vaccine is required with medical exemptions considered. Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately after signing the contract. Parking details will be provided upon contract signing.
