Must-Have: Strong drip experience is a must. Experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips required. Telemetry skills and experience required. Ability to recognize and interpret dysrhythmias required. Experience with IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, and central line management required.

Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Call-offs or additional RTO in unit could possibly lead to a cancellation. Unit operates similar to an ICU with a patient ratio of 1:3-4. Floating to sister unit may be required as needed. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The patient diagnoses include respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, and postoperative care. Only one pressor drip is allowed per patient; any additional drips will require transfer to ICU. Special equipment includes bedside telemetry monitors and various respiratory management tools. Nurses must have experience with managing BIPAPs, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care. There are no vents on the unit. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start. All unit operations rely on established protocols and care guidelines.
