You can see some of our favorite projects here.Start your journey with OBE and help us build the future.Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the corporate general ledger and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of banking, prepaid asset, and financial reporting activities. This role is a key contributor to the month-end close process and supports the organization's financial reporting requirements through accurate accounting, thoughtful analysis, and strong internal controls.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting & Financial ReportingPrepare and post journal entries in support of monthly accounting activities.Execute month-end close responsibilities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and maintain account reconciliations to support the completeness and accuracy of financial records.Perform income statement variance analyses comparing actual results to budget and prior-year performance, identifying trends and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Support management and executive leadership through ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.Banking & Cash ManagementReview and reconcile daily cash activity across multiple bank accounts.Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to resolution.Partner with Treasury and Cash Application teams to ensure accurate cash reporting and transaction processing.Prepaid Assets & General Ledger SupportMaintain prepaid asset schedules and record monthly amortization entries.Monitor account activity and ensure balances are appropriately supported and reconciled.Assist with other balance sheet account reconciliations and corporate accounting functions as needed.Compliance, Controls & Process ImprovementSupport SOX compliance initiatives through execution of internal controls and review procedures.Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting accuracy, and drive operational efficiencies.Contribute to initiatives that enhance financial controls and support continuous improvement efforts.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.Experience2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience.Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.Public accounting experience is a plus but not required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.Collaborative mindset and a proactive, team-oriented approach.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work a hybrid schedule from the Dallas office four days per week.Why Join Us?Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization.Exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional business partners.Collaborative and team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement and professional development.Broad accounting exposure with opportunities for growth and advancement.What OBE Offers YouBenefits that benefit you – industry competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employeeWork-life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can chooseCompensation that rewards your hard work – A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonusesTraining – We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeedOBE Privacy PolicyOBE will not discharge or discriminate against employees or applicants for discussing, disclosing, or inquiring about their own or others' pay.
