We are seeking a Systems Commander skilled in the arts of Microsoft, VMWare, and storage solutions, akin to mastering the Force of virtualization, disaster recovery, and SAN/NAS technologies. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves deploying and maneuvering various SAN/NAS, VMware/Hyper-V Server, and backup systems for critical disaster recovery operations. A high level of VMware mastery is essential for success in this role.

Desired Skills and Holocron Knowledge:

• Mastery in Active Directory troubleshooting, akin to navigating the stars from Windows Server 2008 R2 to beyond.
• Expertise in Active Directory Architecture and defense strategies, ensuring our network remains impervious to the dark side.
• Proficiency in Network Security Solutions, guarding our data like the most loyal of Starfleet officers.
• Experience in AD/Exchange migrations, maneuvering through complex galactic sectors.
• Advanced knowledge in networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS, SMTP, DFS) - think of it as understanding the language of droids and starships.
• Ability to analyze and repair servers and applications in diverse and challenging environments, much like a seasoned engineer aboard the USS Enterprise.
• Proven technical troubleshooting and analytical skills, reminiscent of a wise Jedi.
• Experienced in leading projects through hyperspace, with accurate estimates, planning, and timely delivery of deliverables.

Requirements:

· Advanced Networking:

· In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.

· Proficiency with firewalls, routers, and switches (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, SonicWall).

· Server Administration:

· Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration.

· Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS management.

· Proficiency with Linux server administration.

· Virtualization:

· Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

· Experience with virtual machine management, clustering, and replication.

· Cloud Services:

· Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

· Experience with cloud migrations, management, and troubleshooting.

· Security:

· Proficiency in cybersecurity best practices and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

· Experience with endpoint protection, SIEM, and network security tools.

· Knowledge of penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.

· Storage and Backup Solutions:

· Experience with SAN, NAS, and other storage technologies.

· Proficiency with backup solutions (Veeam, Datto, Acronis).

· Scripting and Automation:

· Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).

· Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

· RMM and PSA Tools:

· Proficiency with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools (e.g., ConnectWise Automate, Datto RMM).

· Experience with Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools (e.g., ConnectWise Manage).

· Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

· Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

· Advanced Troubleshooting:

· Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.

· Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple environments.

· Documentation and Reporting:

· Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation.
