Neurocrine Biosciences seeks a Corporate Counsel to provide legal advice on business matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and support cross-functional initiatives across the biopharmaceutical company. The role involves advising internal stakeholders, managing legal documentation, and mentoring junior legal staff.
Responsibilities
- Advise business partners on corporate matters, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including clinical trials, research, supply, and vendor agreements
- Develop and maintain legal templates, procedures, and documentation standards
- Support licensing, collaborations, and third-party contracting arrangements
- Mentor junior legal staff and lead cross-functional project teams
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree and active law license in any state
- Seven or more years of attorney practice in life sciences or comparable law firm
- Ability to independently analyze complex legal issues and render advice
- Expertise in corporate compliance, healthcare regulatory matters, and contract drafting
- Proficiency in employment law, data privacy, and risk management
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Leadership and team mentoring experience
Compensation: $206,400–$282,000 base salary plus 30% target bonus and equity participation
