Job Summary:

Accountability

• Audits financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.

• Performs compliance audits for institutions that participate in student financial aid programs.
\n
• Develops an understanding of the risks associated with a company’s financial statements.
\n
• Performs testing of audit areas to gain comfort with what is being reported and records adjustments as required.
\n
• Applies knowledge and training from one engagement to another.
\n
• Assists with the preparation of financial statements and related footnote disclosures.
\n
• Communicates questions and issues to senior team members and management.
\n
• Provides professional and responsive service to clients.
\n
• Efficiently manages time and is proactive in seeking work and identifying areas where assistance is needed.
\n
• Develops and maintains current knowledge of accounting, auditing standards, and industry requirements.
\n

Location

The Staff Accountant – Audit position is a hybrid position headquartered in Bridgeville, PA.

Qualifications

Required

• B.S. in Accounting.
\n

Preferred

• Public accounting experience or CPA license a plus.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
\n
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
\n
• Interest in developing technical accounting and auditing knowledge.
