Dental Medicine Service Learning Center Manager – Elizabeth City Position Number: 001700 Full Time or Part Time: Full Time Job Category: Staff - Office/Clerical Job Close Date: 6/3/2026 Job Overview The School of Dental Medicine operates clinics that provide educational experiences for students and residents and serves the oral health needs of underserved North Carolina populations. The Community Service Learning Center (CSLC) in Elizabeth City is one of these clinics, and it requires a practice site administrator to manage its operations. Job Duties As the practice site administrator, you will manage business, operational, human resources, and financial functions of the CSLC, and provide managerial oversight for clinical processes, quality assurance, and compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing programs such as the Reduced Fee Program, Payment Plan reviews, NC Farmworkers Program, Ryan White Program, Patient Care Fund, Teaching Case Proposals, and Grant Case Proposals, making independent decisions using sound business practices, monitoring workflow processes, interpreting policy changes, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. You will work with the CSLC Director to propose long‑ and short‑term goals for the CSLC and support the mission and goals of the School of Dental Medicine. Other duties involve financial management, forecasting, compiling and analyzing data to support budget needs, supervising staff, recruiting, selecting employees, serving in a human resource role for leave and time approval, coaching, disciplinary actions, providing policy assistance and guidance, resolving difficult problems, acting as the community liaison, communicating information clearly, and developing written documents and reports for the Dean’s office and the CSLC Director. Dental Medicine Support Position – Not subject to State Human Resources Act. Minimum Education / Experience Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. License or Certification None Preferred Experience, Skills, Training / Education Previous experience in a dental practice desirable.
