Production Shift Manager

Where You’ll Make a Difference Lead all plant operations during assigned shift, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met Supervise and develop union employees and team leaders through coaching, feedback, and performance management Manage workforce planning including scheduling, overtime, and resource allocation Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS and environmental standards Investigate production, safety, and quality incidents; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Partner with engineering, maintenance, and planning teams to optimize plant performance Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives Support labor relations processes, including grievance handling and fact-finding sessions Ensure accurate administrative oversight, including time and attendance tracking What Makes You the Right Fit Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred) Minimum 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical manufacturing preferred) Proven leadership experience managing teams in a production setting Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and operational excellence principles Ability to lead in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment and work rotating shifts Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems How You Would Stand Out Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment SAP or similar ERP system experience Background in chemical or process manufacturing industries Why Choose Us?
