Part-Time Sustainability Waste Coordinator Pay Rate Range: $27.00 - $30.00/hr (W2) Employment Type: Contract Duration: 06/2026 - 09/30/2026 Schedule: Saturday Monday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Hours: 24 hours/week (40 hours/week during June August "Give & Go" period) Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Location: Stanford, CA 94305 Job Code: 1493184 Position Overview Tekberry is seeking a Sustainability Waste Coordinator to support our client. This role supports campus sustainability and waste diversion initiatives by helping manage waste operations, maintaining waste enclosure standards, and supporting recycling and composting compliance across Stanford housing properties. This is a hands‑on operational role ideal for candidates who are dependable, physically active, detail‑oriented, and passionate about sustainability and environmental responsibility. Responsibilities Support waste operations across R&DE housing properties Monitor landfill, recycling, and compost areas to ensure proper waste diversion Break down boxes and maintain cleanliness of recycling enclosures Remove contamination such as e-waste, hazardous waste, and bulky items from waste streams Post and maintain signage in waste enclosure areas Support overflow bin management and cleanup efforts Assist with "Give & Go" sustainability and move‑out diversion initiatives during peak summer periods Follow safety procedures and support R&DE sustainability goals Perform additional operational or sustainability‑related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1 2+ years of experience in facilities, custodial, sustainability, waste operations, logistics, or related environments preferred Strong reliability and ability to work independently Comfortable performing physical and outdoor work throughout the day Strong attention to detail and ability to follow operational procedures Good communication and teamwork skills Valid Driver's License required (MVR required) Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting recycling, composting, or sustainability initiatives Experience in facilities, housing operations, or campus environments Ability to work in fast‑paced operational settings during high‑volume move‑out periods Work Environment & Physical Requirements 100% onsite role in outdoor and residential campus environments Frequent walking, lifting, bending, standing, and movement throughout the shift Exposure to waste and recycling environments, including dust and outdoor weather conditions May require lifting and moving bulky items or recycling materials Tekberry is an equal opportunity employer.
