Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Telemetry License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - 2+ years in Telemetry Description: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups. Includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Adheres to the Nurse Practice Act, Code of Conduct, Mission and Values, and Service Standards. Unit features standard nursing equipment on a telemetry unit. Patient ratios range from 4-6:1. Type of patients on the unit includes both medical and telemetry adults. Looking for a team player who cares about positive patient outcomes and values superior communication. Weekend and holiday work is a standard expectation, with every other full weekend required and at least one of the major winter holidays. Night shift orientations will be conducted on day shift. Must be available for the entire week for orientation. Requested time off of up to 5 days in each 13 weeks can be automatically approved, subject to prior leader approval for additional time off. Team collaboration and effective communication are essential for this role. Considerable emphasis on delivering compassionate care and maintaining patient comfort.
