Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BCLS, NIH, Fire safety required Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC charting - Accessing/managing ports - Administration of chemotherapy - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Monitoring chemotherapy - PCA management - Starting and maintaining IVs - Telemetry - Use of Rapid Response/Code teams Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for medical surgical oncology patients. The shift schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Weekend coverage is required for two shifts every other weekend. This role does not require on-call duty. The nurse will float within the service line to meet facility needs. There are two Comfort Care Suites for end-of-life patients on the unit. Previous charge experience is preferred. The nurse will be expected to utilize isolation precautions and personal protective equipment. The position requires proficiency in starting IVs and managing telemetry patients. Experience with monitoring chemotherapy administration is essential. All RNs must complete modules and educational requirements prior to starting. No additional requests for time off or schedule changes will be accepted post-submission. RTO requests must be finalized at the time of application. The first week of an assignment will not permit any time off requests.
