We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in North Salt Lake, Utah on a Contract basis. This position focuses on supporting accurate and timely payment operations while maintaining strong attention to financial detail. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience processing invoices, validating payment information, and helping ensure accounts payable activities run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Review and process vendor invoices with a high level of accuracy and proper account classification.
• Apply correct general ledger coding to payable transactions and confirm supporting documentation is complete.
• Manage payment activities through ACH transactions and scheduled check disbursements.
• Perform three-way matching by comparing invoices, purchase orders, and receiving records before payment approval.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to clarify pricing, quantities, or missing details.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and support timely month-end documentation as needed.
• Monitor payment timelines to help ensure obligations are met in accordance with agreed terms.• Proven experience working in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support function.
• Working knowledge of invoice coding, account allocation, and payment processing procedures.
• Hands-on experience with ACH payments and check run preparation.
• Ability to complete three-way matching accurately and identify discrepancies quickly.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
• Proficiency in basic accounting systems and standard office software.
• Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal departments.
