About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience preferred License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, COVID certification, New York License Must-Have: Must be able to handle very high patient ratios of 1:9 Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a high-acuity Emergency Room setting. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and the ability to manage multiple patients effectively. The unit is designated as a Level III Trauma Center with 30 beds and trauma bays. Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory. There are no call or standby requirements; no floating to other units is expected. Nurses will participate in competency exams related to medication administration and dysrhythmia recognition. Traveling nurses are expected to pass these competency exams with a minimum score of 80%. The dress code for nurses is dark blue or white scrubs. Additional specific orientation may be required for the unit.
