Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3x12-hour shifts | Day/Evening shifts, most shifts expected to run 0900–2130 or 1100–2330 | Weekend rotation and every other holiday | 4x12 schedules and assignments up to 26 weeks may be available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
• Float to other units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient and family-centered care
• Pass a required telemetry exam (adult and pediatric) prior to assignment start, with a minimum passing score of 80% and 100% identification of lethal rhythms

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only – required
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start; two attempts permitted, with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric components
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an emergency or acute care setting
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations across both adult and pediatric age groups
• Flexibility and adaptability to float to other units as needed
