Lead Logistics and Site Operations – Drive Large-Scale Renewable Energy Builds

Job Overview:

• Company: RCSI - Renewable Construction Services, Inc.

• Salary/Pay Rate: $85,000 – $100,000+ per year (Depending on experience).

• Location: Escondido, CA (Travel and overnight stays required).

• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

• Schedule: 4 x 10s (Monday – Thursday).

• Project Scope: Solar and Renewable Construction.

• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.

The Opportunity: You will serve as a vital backbone for our field operations, managing the specialized transport and expert operation of heavy machinery across California. This role offers the unique chance to be a multi-functional leader in the renewable energy sector, ensuring our solar projects have the equipment and logistical support needed to stay on schedule.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Transport heavy equipment and structural steel safely to project sites using flatbeds, lowboys, and equipment trailers.

• Operate specialized machinery including cranes, telehandlers, forklifts, and excavators to support site assembly.

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and field repairs on CAT and other heavy equipment to ensure reliability.

• Service hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical components to minimize equipment downtime.

• Execute preventative maintenance and undercarriage servicing to keep the fleet operating at peak efficiency.

• Coordinate with project managers and steel crews to ensure timely delivery of critical materials and supplies.

• Conduct meticulous pre-trip and post-trip inspections in strict compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record and DOT compliance.

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as telehandlers, forklifts, or excavators.

• Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical repair and troubleshooting for diesel engines and hydraulic systems.

• Ability to safely secure and transport heavy loads, including structural steel and construction machinery.

• Absolute willingness to travel for projects, working a 4 x 10 schedule with overnight stays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience specifically within the solar or renewable energy construction industry.

• Valid NCCCO crane certification or advanced rigging qualifications.

• Specific experience performing field maintenance on CAT brand heavy equipment.

• Familiarity with California DOT regulations and oversized load permitting.
