Deltak Manufacturing Inc. is currently taking applications for a Project Manager / Estimator with a working knowledge of steel fabrication projects for the deep-water oil and gas industry.

Job Description

• Use and inspect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed for the position; adhering to all company safety regulations, policies and procedures.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, using project schedule tools and software.
• Read, Review and understand drawings, specs, details, project plans, manuals etc…
• Review and explain all aspects of final estimates.
• Determine key variables to prepare and provide, labor cost, material takeoffs, quotes, estimates, and RFQ's for structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
• Provide documentation for the basis of the estimate.
• When needed, compare pricing by vendors, suppliers, etc…
• When needed, build relationships and give feedback to key vendors, suppliers, etc…

Required Skills

• A minimum of 5 years working as a project manager and estimating steel fabrication projects.
• Ability to read and comprehend fabrication codes, specifications, and drawings.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Projects, and CAD Software.
• Ability to work in a diverse workforce.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment as a leader making decisions and solve problems to meet productivity and project goals.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to establish and maintain courtesy, dignity, trust, and respect with customers and fellow employees.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS and Solid Edge to create technical drawings for structural steel fabrication and pipe manufacturing.
• PMP certification

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening.
• Regularly sitting, standing and/or walking throughout an 8-10 hour day.
• Must be willing to work in year-round temperatures and moderate weather conditions.
• Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment needed for the position.

Experience:

• Project Management and Estimating: 5 years (Preferred)
