Junior Estimator

We Are RAM Construction Ltd is a well-established construction company based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. We undertake a wide variety of projects, from conversions and renovations to new builds and everything in between, serving both domestic and commercial clients. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship, on-time project completion, and excellent customer service. We are looking for a Junior Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the construction industry who has strong people and communication skills, is computer-literate, and highly punctual. The Junior Estimator will play a key role in preparing cost estimates, conducting site visits, and interacting with customers as the face of the company to provide a professional first impression. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine costs Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and quotations Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements and gather necessary data Interact with customers professionally, representing the company and ensuring a positive first impression Support the senior estimator in developing detailed bid proposals Maintain and update cost databases, material pricing, and labour costs Collaborate with the project management team to ensure budget compliance Ensure estimates are completed in a timely manner to meet deadlines Requirements: Previous experience in construction, estimating, or a related field (preferred) Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Professional and customer-focused attitude Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and estimating software (preferred) Highly organised with great attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn and grow in the role Transport & Benefits: Employees are expected to get themselves to the office A pool vehicle will be provided for site visits If using a personal vehicle during the probation period, mileage will be reimbursed A personal company vehicle may be provided as the role develops What We Offer: Salary to be discussed based on experience (paid monthly) Opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within the company Supportive and professional team environment Share scheme incentives for dedicated and long-term employees Training and career development opportunities We Are RAM Construction Ltd is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr We Are Ram Construction
