Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting while contributing to a critical mission. Our community health clinic utilizes telehealth resources to provide seamless access to treatment. During office hours, which are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you will engage in therapy sessions, participate in team collaborations, and manage patient documentation. Evening shifts may be required occasionally based on patient availability and needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of individuals seeking help for substance use disorders, identifying their unique needs and treatment goals.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.

• Lead individual counseling sessions, providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their recovery journey.
\n
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, encouraging peer support and shared experiences among participants.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other health care professionals, ensuring a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention for clients during substance-related emergencies, exhibiting a calm and effective response to urgent needs.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction education, recovery strategies, and available community resources to promote ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards to uphold professional integrity.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to improve treatment protocols and share insights with colleagues.

• Continuously enhance your professional knowledge by staying updated on advancements in substance use disorder treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals grappling with substance use disorders, which may include addiction to alcohol, prescription medications, and illicit drugs. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing varying age groups and backgrounds, which allows you to engage in culturally sensitive practices tailored to each client’s unique situation.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Strong understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment frameworks.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy specifically related to addiction treatment.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications for documentation and communication.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering an integrated approach to patient recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
