FIB Technician

Responsibilities Shift: Mon‑Thur 3pm‑1:30am (10Hr swing shift) Prepare samples for experiments, including coating, wafer cleaving, mounting/unmounting, and job set‑up for process evaluation. Prepare TEM lamella samples using FIB, optimize preparation procedures and identify cutting locations from pattern instructions. Operate metrology tools in the FIB & TEM lab to measure critical dimensions, assess image quality, and determine optimized conditions; complete jobs under limited supervision after training. Understand the basic principles of SEM, FIB, and TEM. Perform routine maintenance on SEM/FIB systems, such as flash, plasma cleaning, and image calibrations. Troubleshoot instrumentation, identify problems, restart or standby tools, and coordinate repairs and maintenance. Operate supportive metrology equipment for FIB‑TEM lamella sample preparation. Qualifications Education: Technical diploma, skills, and certifications in relevant fields. Experience: 2–4 years of related work experience.
