Senior Industrial Maintenance TechnicianPitney Bowes is hiring an onsite Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift in Reading, Pennsylvania near the greater Philadelphia area at our Presort Services facility.Your hourly pay range is $33 - $35 with the possibility of overtime.Your schedule will be Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday from 6:15AM - 2:45PM EST.You are a performance-driven contributor who can effectively troubleshoot, repair, or diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues on industrial equipment. You are a self-motivated individual who seeks opportunities to improve current practices, increasing efficiency and reducing downtime of industrial mail sorting equipment.You will:Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment (Mail Sorters/ Printers)Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standardsRespond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations.Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime.Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.Utilize a tablet to track assigned work and machine downtime as well as inventory used in repair.Perform all additional duties as required.Study, review, and use vendor technical manuals, publications, or updates, as needed, to remain familiar with all changes or modifications to equipment.Train, assist and guide other site technicians.Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems, and maintain the spare parts/supply inventory.Perform all other duties as needed.Your background as an onsite Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician, you have:5 years' direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.5 years' strong familiarity servicing mailing equipment, conveyer machines, PLC systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, pulleys, or any other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment preferred.An AA degree in Electronics, Computer Science or related field of study is preferred but not mandatory.Experience using a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment.Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment preferred.Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, set up priorities, and work under deadline pressures.The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.Our Team: Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS®.
