Product Development Engineering Technician - Urgent Need (Onsite)

Position Product Development Engineering Technician Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ Duration: 12 months Total Hours/Week: 40.00 Shift: 1st Shift Client: Medical Devices Company Job Category: Engineering Level of Experience: Entry Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT) Responsibilities Perform technical tasks related to product functional assessment including concept feasibility, design verification, sustaining engineering, and new product development of medical devices. Execute test protocols via a variety of mechanical laboratory equipment and manual manipulation. Assist in planning, execution, and data analysis of experiments. Report results to project leadership and prepare technical reports, when necessary. Provide technical support on general laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Participate in investigations related to equipment, test methods, or quality issues. Support continuous improvement of lab processes and assist in onboarding and training of other associates. Maintain good laboratory and documentation practices; ensure compliance with applicable client policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. Qualifications Educational background: Technical training such as college in science or engineering, technical school, or lab experience. BS degree in engineering desirable (Mechanical Engineering preferred). 0–2 years of engineering or technical experience required, preferably in medical devices. Experience using small hand tools. Working knowledge of mechanical measurement equipment (e.g., Instron) desirable. Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
