Position : Attorney - insurance defense Location: Jersey City, NJ Job type : Full time JOB DESCRIPTION: This role is designed for an attorney with 3-8 years of insurance defense litigation experience who is comfortable independently managing a caseload while working closely with experienced litigators and firm leadership. Experience handling New Jersey automobile liability matters is strongly preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, reports, and other litigation documents
- Conduct and defend depositions, handle motion practice and court appearances
- Participate in arbitrations and mediations, prepare matters for trial
- Handle automobile liability matters under New Jersey law
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, claims professionals, and corporate clients
- Conduct legal research, draft persuasive motions/briefs/memoranda
