Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide array of ultrasound examinations such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, clearly communicating each step with sensitivity
• Engage collaboratively with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver exceptional diagnostic imaging
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment while promptly documenting any issues
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and update patient information within electronic medical systems
• Stay informed about the latest advances in ultrasound imaging techniques and relevant best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a relevant field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is highly desirable

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

• Strong technical expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
