Environmental Project Manager Make an impact on some of NYC’s most complex remediation projects. We’re partnering with a growing environmental consulting firm with a strong backlog of work across NYC. They are looking to bring on an Environmental Project Manager who can lead high-profile investigation and remediation efforts while building strong client relationships. This is an opportunity to step into a visible, client-facing role where you’ll manage projects from investigation through closure across the five boroughs, working closely with agencies like NYSDEC and NYCOER. What You’ll Be Doing Lead environmental investigation and remediation projects from start to finish, including Phase I/II ESAs and remedial design/implementation Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owning communication, timelines, and deliverables Prepare and review key regulatory submittals (RAWP, SMP, work plans, closure reports) Oversee field activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations, as well as construction/remediation oversight Manage project financials (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing) to keep work on track and profitable Coordinate with subcontractors, field teams, and internal staff across multiple concurrent projects Support proposals and help drive continued growth of the practice What They’re Looking For 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on remediation and site investigation Strong understanding of NYSDEC and NYC OER programs and regulatory processes Proven experience managing projects, clients, and budgets Hands‑on technical experience (sampling, CAMP, construction oversight) Strong report writing skills across Phase I/II ESAs and remedial documents OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER; SST preferred Why This Opportunity Stands Out Strong project pipeline across NYC — stability + variety of work High visibility role with direct client interaction and ownership Growth‑oriented team where you’ll have a voice in shaping projects and processes Balanced work environment with a mix of office, field, and hybrid flexibility Tight‑knit culture focused on collaboration, mentorship, and long‑term relationships Work Environment & Flexibility Hybrid schedule (1–2 days remote depending on project needs) Mix of office coordination and field oversight Exposure to diverse NYC remediation and development project Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 – $48.00/hr.
