Primary Care Physician (MD/DO)
Join a well-established, not-for-profit community hospital seeking a primary care physician (MD/DO) to join its outpatient practice in Southbury, Connecticut. Candidates with a background in family medicine or internal medicine will be considered.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups
- Perform annual physicals, wellness visits, and routine health screenings
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with specialists and interdisciplinary care teams for coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care delivery
- Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices
Qualifications
Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Training: Completion of an accredited residency in family medicine or internal medicine
Licensure: Active Connecticut medical license (or eligibility)
Certification: Board certified/board eligible in family medicine or internal medicine
Experience: All experience levels welcome; new graduates encouraged to apply
Compensation & Work Environment
Salary: $270,000$325,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
