Job Title : Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location : 100% Remote - Must live in one of the following states: Georgia, Texas, Kansas, or Florida

Salary Range : $26-30/hour

 

Role Overview :

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for resolving complex and escalated accounts, with a strong focus on insurance claims, payment issues, and collections. This role works closely with Operations, Estimating, Accounting, and Leadership to identify payment barriers, negotiate with insurance carriers, resolve disputes, and move accounts through to resolution. Restoration industry experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage complex and escalated AR accounts from investigation through resolution
• Review accounts, estimates, invoices, documentation, and claims to determine why payment is outstanding
• Communicate and negotiate directly with insurance carriers, adjusters, and homeowners
• Investigate payment discrepancies, reductions, disputes, and missing documentation
• Prepare or assist with claim rebuttals and settlement negotiations
• Partner with Operations, Estimating, Accounting, and Collections to resolve account issues
• Research supporting documentation, industry standards, lien rights, and other resources as needed
• Assist Collections Specialists with escalated accounts and resolution strategies
• Maintain detailed records of account activity, negotiations, and next steps
• Identify collection trends and recommend process improvements

Qualifications :

• Must live in one of the following states: Georgia, Texas, Kansas, or Florida
• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable
• Restoration industry experience required
• Experience negotiating with insurance carriers and resolving complex account issues
• Working knowledge of restoration workflows, estimating, insurance claims, and restoration documentation
• Familiarity with IICRC standards and restoration terminology preferred
• Experience with Xactimate, XactAnalysis, DASH/Restoration365, Sage Intacct, or similar systems is a plus
