Electrical JourneymanMortenson is currently seeking a Solar Electrical Journeyman that will be responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship for maintenance and installation of electrical systems.ResponsibilitiesMeasure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand toolsSafely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (Drills, Crimpers, Cutters, etc.)Lift, position, and fasten objectsPrepare, handle, and supply of materials and tools be used by electrical tradesMaintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipmentWork under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and established proceduresEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsPull DC and MV wireAll other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum two years of related experienceTrade or technical school certification/diplomaProject specific/Mortenson trainingCurrent driver's licenseAbility to speak and understand English (Spanish is a plus); some ability to read plans; shown emotional intelligence; ability to operate equipment such as table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging, and form systemsStrong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, active listening skills, and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedbackRepetitive hand, arm, leg movementsLifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
