Shipping Manager

Overview Our client is seeking a highly organized and hands‑on Shipping Manager / Expeditor to oversee daily shipping operations and support efficient order fulfillment activities. The role is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, expediting urgent deliveries, maintaining shipping documentation, and collaborating closely with warehouse, purchasing, vendors, and carriers to ensure timely and accurate logistics operations. Location: Onsite Key Responsibilities Manage daily shipping and receiving operations for domestic and international shipments Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and trucking companies to ensure timely deliveries Expedite delayed or urgent shipments by working directly with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including bills of lading, customs paperwork, manifests, and related records Track outbound shipments and maintain accurate inventory movement records for reporting and audit purposes Oversee relationships and coordination with major carriers including UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, and freight providers Implement packaging best practices to ensure product protection while maintaining cost efficiency Support warehouse distribution and packing activities as needed Partner with the Purchasing team to follow up on incoming orders and vendor delivery timelines Ensure compliance with company shipping procedures and safety standards Required Qualifications Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics coordination, or warehouse distribution operations Strong understanding of order fulfillment and shipping documentation processes Experience working with parcel carriers, freight companies, and logistics vendors Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs when required Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail Basic math skills for shipment calculations, weights, and measurements Familiarity with packaging and inventory handling best practices Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities Proficiency with shipping systems and Microsoft Office is preferred Preferred Background Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment Previous experience in a shipping lead, logistics coordinator, or shipping manager role preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Full‑time opportunity with long‑term growth potential Collaborative and team‑oriented work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr W3Global
