The team invests across private credit and opportunistic equity structures spanning consumer, commercial, residential, and structured credit markets. Investments include whole loans, warehouse facilities, asset-backed securities, and structured credit as well as preferred equity and platform financings. The role offers meaningful responsibility across the full lifecycle of investments—sourcing, underwriting, execution, and portfolio management—with direct exposure to senior investment leadership and the opportunity to deploy capital across the capital structure.Title/level commensurate with experience. ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and execute private credit, structured investments, and select equity / hybrid structures across asset classes and transaction typesSource and screen new opportunities; develop investment thesis and relative value views across markets and structuresLead diligence workstreams, including financial modeling, collateral/cash flow analysis, downside and recovery analysis, and structuringCoordinate third-party diligence and manage execution timelines to closePrepare and present investment committee materials and recommendations to senior leadershipMonitor and manage portfolio performancePartner closely with Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Risk to support investment execution and ongoing oversightContribute to tools and infrastructure for portfolio reporting, analytics, and process improvementCollaborate across LMI teams to share market insights and support broader platform initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials3–7 years of relevant experience in specialty finance, private credit, structured credit, investment banking, private equity, or other alternative investment / financial institutionsStrong underwriting and financial modeling skills; advanced proficiency in ExcelAbility to synthesize complex financial, market, and operational diligence into clear investment views and recommendationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior stakeholdersStrong ownership mentality, judgment, and intellectual curiosityCollaborative, team-oriented approach; effective cross-functional partnerStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with asset-backed structures (warehouse/ABS), fund finance, or platform investing is a plusComfort reviewing legal documents is a plus as wellDemonstrates strong AI literacy and uses AI-enabled tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and insight generation while maintaining sound judgment and compliance with governance standards About Us Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
