Outbound Sales Development Representative

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION The role of the Outbound Sales Development Representative (OSDR) is to find and screen potential customers who could benefit from our products and services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal OSDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success. The OSDR should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. They will also be passionate about leveraging technology to support and enhance the operations of first responders. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively generate new sales leads and opportunities by utilizing Hubspot, cold calls, email, and social media. Identify the needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products or services. Build and nurture relationships with prospects and key decision-makers to qualify leads as sales opportunities. Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives. Work closely with Marketing on outbound warm calling to generate MQAs for ABM and other programs. Drive attendance for webinars and set meetings for conferences/tradeshows. Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly results to the SDR Manager. Develop an understanding of the challenges and needs within the first responder industry. Clearly articulate the value of our product and how PSTrax can address the specific needs of a department/customer. Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospect interactions in our CRM system. Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows, improve processes, and drive data‑driven decisions. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least 2 years of relevant work experience Prefer at least one year of experience as a Sales Development Representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas and exceeding lead targets Strong understanding of SaaS-based products Proficiency with Hubspot or other CRM software Self‑motivated with a strong sense of initiative Strong time‑management skills Strong communication skills via phone and email Proven, creative problem‑solving approach and strong analytical skills Experience as a first responder a plus ABOUT US PSTrax was founded in 2009.
