Executive Assistant

Our client, a municipal government organization, is seeking an Executive Assistant to join their team. As an Executive Assistant , you will be part of the Administrative Support Department supporting the Manager’s Office. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Executive Assistant 

Location: Hollister, CA

Pay Range: $28.00- $32.00

Shift: 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM 

What's the Job?

• Perform highly responsible office management and confidential administrative duties in support of the City Manager’s and City Attorney’s Offices and the City Council.
• Screen calls, visitors, and mail; respond to sensitive requests for information and assistance; resolve citizen concerns and complaints.
• Interpret city policies, procedures, laws, and regulations in response to inquiries and complaints; refer inquiries as appropriate.
• Assist in the administration of the City Manager’s Office, including support for Redevelopment projects such as grant requests and funding applications.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, maintain appointment schedules, attend meetings, take dictation, and prepare reports and correspondence.

What's Needed?

• At least four years of increasingly responsible secretarial and clerical experience.
• Completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by specialized training in office practices.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, certification as a Notary Public is desirable.
• Knowledge of modern office procedures, computer equipment, and software applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
