Sous Chef Position

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at our private adolescent residential treatment facilities called Mission Prep Healthcare. In this vital role, you'll help nourish clients on their journey toward recovery by preparing delicious, well-balanced meals in a supportive and therapeutic environment. This position will work under our Head Chef.

Location: Bonsall/Fallbrook, California. This position will be required to travel to our various facilities in the area to deliver meals.

Status and Compensation: Part-Time and Seasonal | Hourly | Non-Exempt | $24-$28/hour. Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 10:00am-6:30pm

Mission Prep is an adolescent specific treatment program under the AMFM Healthcare family. Every element of the family's care is conducted with attention and purpose from the sessions with our board-certified psychiatrist to the beautiful, home-like environment cultivated to bring a sense of belonging and connection for those in our care.

What You'll Do:

As our Sous Chef, you'll make daily meal preparation and kitchen operations while ensuring that all meals meet dietary and safety standards especially for individuals with specialized nutritional needs, including eating disorders. You will be responsible for:

• Preparing and serving lunch and dinner daily for clients and staff
• Coordinating meal delivery across multiple residential sites
• Guiding breakfast and weekend meal service procedures
• Maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards
• Adapting meals to accommodate individual dietary restrictions
• Managing food inventory, purchasing, and expense reconciliation
• Creating weekly menus that are both nutritious and satisfying
• Keeping a respectful and positive attitude with clients and staff
• Ensuring compliance with all county, state, and ServSafe standards

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Food Handler's Certification (ServSafe Manager Certification preferred)
• Possess valid driver's license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by the company, state, or federal guidelines
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds)
• Experience preparing meals in a residential or healthcare setting preferred
