Director, Epidemiology

AbbVie seeks a Director of Epidemiology to lead real-world evidence strategy and epidemiology studies for its immunology portfolio. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, study design and execution, regulatory communications, and scientific publication in support of asset development and benefit-risk assessment.

Responsibilities

Represent Global Epidemiology on cross-functional asset development teams and matrix subgroups.
Develop and execute real-world evidence strategy supporting immunology portfolio throughout product lifecycle.
Lead or manage epidemiology and real-world evidence study design, execution, and delivery of final reports.
Communicate company positions to regulatory authorities regarding real-world evidence for regulatory filings.
Author epidemiology sections of regulatory submissions and scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

MD-PhD or PhD in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
MPH/MS in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, or related field with 10+ years industry experience
Immunology therapeutic area epidemiology experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to independently develop and lead strategic epidemiology study plans
Strong oral and written communication skills with executive presence
Experience with regulatory and safety policy and document preparation preferred
