Bilingual Medical Billers Katy TX Job Duties:

• Prepare and submit medical, dental, and behavioral health insurance claims accurately through the practice management system while ensuring timely processing.
• Review insurance and patient billing information to verify accuracy before submission and correct discrepancies when needed.
• Apply insurance payments, patient payments, and necessary adjustments to maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and outstanding balances while coordinating collections for insurance and patient accounts.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and identify accounts that require follow-up or escalation.
• Review denied or rejected claims and complete appeals or resubmissions when necessary.
• Audit billing data entered into the practice management system and report discrepancies to the appropriate management staff.
• Maintain compliance with payer requirements including Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and other third-party insurance providers.
• Stay current with insurance regulations, billing updates, and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Assist the billing department in identifying process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the billing cycle.

Bilingual Medical Billers Katy TX Requirements:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a medical office billing environment.
• Experience processing claims with Medicaid, Medicare, managed care organizations, and other third-party payers.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems including ICD, CPT, CDT, and HCPCS.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Ability to answer billing questions and communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and staff.
• Proficiency with practice management systems and Microsoft Office software applications.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple billing projects simultaneously.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• No felonies in the last 3 years, no violent felonies ever.

Location: Katy, TX 77493 Pay: $16.50+ per hour DOE Shift: M-F 8 am 5 pm
