Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized assessments and observational methods for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Design tailored treatment strategies to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions addressing various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in collaborative care by working closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers.
• Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Participate in infrequent inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation that adheres to organizational and regulatory standards.
• Stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with your peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you're not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
