- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and senior demographics using both standardized tests and observational insights.
- Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate needs while establishing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive care approaches.
- Provide education for patients and families to empower them in supporting progress beyond clinical appointments.
- Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's healing journey.
- Maintain precise and prompt documentation that aligns with applicable state, federal, and organizational mandates.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous learning and collaboration with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.
- A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of hiring.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic strategies for varying age groups, paired with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Capacity to adjust therapeutic approaches to accommodate cultural and linguistic diversity among patients.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and proper documentation protocols.
