Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and senior demographics using both standardized tests and observational insights.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate needs while establishing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and families to empower them in supporting progress beyond clinical appointments.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's healing journey.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation that aligns with applicable state, federal, and organizational mandates.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous learning and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of hiring.
