Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Tool and Die Makers for projects located in or around Bellwood, IL. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate starts at $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Inspect, measure, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair common and complex die sets
Diagnose tooling failures and implement corrective actions
Develop and maintain repair findings, reports, and other technical documentation
Heat treat tools and components as required
Measure marks and scribes for metal stock machining operations
Smooth flat and contoured surfaces using scrapers, abrasive stones, and power grinders
Fit and assemble parts, assemblies, and mechanisms using hand tools
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using precision measuring equipment
Maintain tooling to maximize production efficiency and quality
Support manufacturing operations by ensuring tooling and dies are operating properly
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements:
Previous Tool & Die Maker experience
Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex die sets
Experience fitting and assembling tooling components
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining production standards
